A Community Built on Hard Work and Heritage

West Deer Township has a rich history that mirrors much of Western Pennsylvania's story.

Originally part of the larger Deer Township established in the late eighteenth century, West Deer became an independent township in 1836. Throughout much of its history, the community was shaped by agriculture, coal mining, and the hardworking families who built their lives throughout the region.

Communities including Russellton, Curtisville, and Bairdford became closely connected to the area's mining industry, helping fuel the economic development of Allegheny County and the greater Pittsburgh region.

While much has changed over the years, West Deer continues to maintain its unique rural character, strong community pride, and small-town atmosphere while benefiting from its convenient location north of Pittsburgh.

Those qualities make West Deer a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

Krebs and West Deer: Growing Together Since 1963

The Krebs family story began in 1963 when William Krebs Sr. opened Krebs Chrysler Plymouth in nearby Glenshaw.

At the same time West Deer was evolving beyond its agricultural and mining roots, the Krebs family was building a dealership founded on integrity, community involvement, and customer relationships.

As Northern Allegheny County continued to grow, so did Krebs.

In 1995, the family expanded operations into New Kensington and added Dodge and Jeep to the lineup. Then, in 2003, Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep operations were consolidated in Gibsonia, placing Krebs even closer to many West Deer Township residents.

Today, our dealership at 100 Krebs Drive remains just minutes away for drivers throughout West Deer and the Route 8 corridor.

Great Vehicles. Great People. Treating Customers Like Family.

More than 60 years ago, William Krebs Sr. built his dealership around a simple philosophy:

Sell great vehicles. Hire great people. Treat every customer like family.

Three generations later, those values remain at the heart of everything we do.

We're proud to serve the families, small businesses, first responders, educators, tradespeople, and community members who make West Deer Township such a special place.

From mining-town roots and rural landscapes to today's thriving community, West Deer has always been built on hard work, strong values, and neighborly connections. Those are qualities we understand because they're the same values that have guided Krebs Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram since 1963.

From our family to yours, thank you for allowing us to serve West Deer Township for more than six decades.

Proud to Serve the Deer Lakes Community!
